A NEW DEATH EVERYDAY FOR KASHMIR

A NEW DEATH EVERYDAY FOR KASHMIR

"If you think you can kill innocent people for no reason then you’re an inhuman”

India, just to show the dominance and for sure their barbarity, imposed a curfew in Kashmir. Kashmir has been an issue between Pakistan and India since the time of partition. But talking about today, it’s been more than two months for Kashmir’s lockdown. On sept 27th, 2019, when the Respected Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran khan addressed the President, General Secretary and Excellencies at the forum of World Leaders, UN General Assembly he discussed four issues and one of them was Kashmir’s lockdown. He stated that 8 million people including women, children and sick people are locked in as animals, as we know that Imran khan educated from Keble College, Oxford England, so he mentioned that in England if 8 million animals were locked in then the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) would have reacted so much to it, the people of Kashmir are not animals, they are humans and they have the right to live their lives with freedom. You spend time with your colleagues in your office, your family at home , you go for outing to enjoy, you do whatever you want but Kashmiri’s spend 24 hours in curfew as prisoners which means they have no access to live with freedom.

According to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Government of Pakistan sent overtures of peace and invited India to a conversation to resolve the issue through bilateral negotiation and when India did not respond, we came to know that all we did to bring India into a conversation was in vain and pointless. When an issue cannot be resolved by a bilateral movement then we need help from a 3rd party facilitation. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said “President Trump can play a role, he has a lot of influence over them and the Security Council which is responsible for the peace and security can play a role.”

But let us discuss first what Kashmiris are going through. Thousands of people are going to jail for no reason, young boys are being picked up and tortured and young females are being molested, religious freedom cannot be seen, people can’t go for their Friday prayers and there are numerous issues regarding health and care. People have no access to the hospitals and there are no ambulances, just a few busses are applying on the road but they are just for some cosmetic purposes, there are reports of people with kidney failures dying because they have no facility of dialysis, lifesaving drugs are not available, cancer patients and heart patients are dying because there is no one to provide them with medication, the people who are dying in hospitals, their death certificates are not being issued, pellet guns are being used and people are going blind. The cruelty has crossed the limits that’s why the youth is infuriated and there is a lot of rage and uncertainty, this issue cannot be neglected by any country or nation.

By Indian’s unilateral movement and illegal action they have given a threat to peace and security of Kashmir. About this Imran khan said, “If the curfew is lifted, there will be a bloodbath, and if there is a bloodbath we will fight to the end, it will have consequences far beyond the borders”.

For sure this is perilous and unpredictable! India and Pakistan must not involve in a war as both of them are nuclear-armed countries, and this issue should be sorted out by exchanging words only.
We pray that may the lord in the highest place protect the innocents of Kashmir, and the cruelty end soon! Amen
